The Rivers
Guadalupe River
The Guadalupe River below canyon lake is a great trout fishery and boasts 15 miles of fishable trout waters. The “Guad” also has many holdover fish which survive the previous years stocking. These holdover fish can reach lengths of over 25 inches. The river is stocked annually by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited with rainbow and brown trout. The lower Guadalupe river is a great bass fishery that flows right through the town of New Braunfels. One could have a chance at catching a largemouth, smallmouth and a striped bass in a single float.

gunnison river
My summers are spent guiding in the Gunnison River Valley. I typically fish the Taylor, East, and Gunnison Rivers along with some creeks in the surrounding area. The float fishing on the Gunnison river near Gunnison, Colorado is tough to be within the state of Colorado. With beautiful scenery, wild water and plenty of fish to come tight to. If you’d like to book a trip in Colorado please contact me and we’ll set it up.

san MARCOS RIVER
The San Marcos is a beautiful spring fed river that starts near the Texas State University campus in San Marcos, Texas and flows down to Gonzales, Texas where it meets the Guadalupe river. The river presents a great opportunity to catch Guadalupe, large and smallmouth bass year round. This river is loaded with fish and the Guadalupe bass is the main target on this river. With that being said you can still run into a nice 4-5 pound largemouth or a stud smallmouth on any given day. Fall and Spring are great times to be on the San Marcos chasing bass but this is my choice for a year round river bass fishery in the area with consistent water temps and less crowds.
